Gran Living was founded in 2004 by Per and Kathrine Gran Hartvigsen, with the ambition to design and import quality home accessories. Today Gran Living delivers a broad range of private label design products to medium and high end chain stores in Northern Europe, based on a philosophy of design, quality and integrated concepts.

As a result of modern and innovative product development, Gran Living is able to customize products to the individual customer. We focus on design, quality and price to ensure the customer competitive prices in their stores, and the customer has exclusive rights to the products in their respective markets. With more than 10 years of experience and knowledge in trend spotting, design and market trends, we are capable of challenging our customers with new combinations in colours and materials. We have a highly developed network of suppliers, and in 2014 we opened our new office in Shanghai to secure improved contact and cooperation with the factories. We are specialized in import and logistics, and it is our foremost task to take care of total activities, until delivering of the completed order at our customers. We value close dialogue with our customers to secure and create solutions that match and create value for the individual customer.

The art of designing

We are part of the entire design journey right from the first pencil draw. The heart and soul of AYTM rest in our design department, which is located in our headquarters by the harbour of Aarhus. Since the beginning of AYTM we have always asked ourselves how to be different, ensuring originality. The utmost important aspect of our business is to create original, innovative and inspiring collections in high quality.

Every design and every collection are the product of unique skills and close collaboration. Our team of highly dedicated designers, who each bring their own indispensable talents to the table, work closely together and combine their different backgrounds within industrial, interior and furniture design to create the essence and high standards of the AYTM products. It’s truly a team effort. The design process is dynamic and consists of mood boards, colour swatches and creative minds. Our designers love to travel and the whole world is the inspiration and colour palette behind any AYTM collection, giving each product that international touch.

The AYTM collections are primarily designed by our in-house design team consisting of highly talented designers with different backgrounds and experiences. Each designer brings a unique set of skills to the table, so we are able to create truly unique and original collections that live up to the high standards that are required in the home accessory and furniture industry.

Charlotte Nøkleby who holds a bachelor in Furniture Design. Charlotte has a brilliant creative eye, is technically very skilled and always in tune with the latest interior trends and is our in-house designer.

Additionally, we have an in-house graphic designers, Cecilie Andreasen, who is responsible for all graphic and creative aspects of the brand, including the visual style of the AYTM’s marketing materials, packaging & labels and copywriting. Cecilie holds a Master’s degree in Information Architecture & Persuasive Design and is greatly experienced in the area of communication and graphic design.

The most important aspect for us is to give you original, innovative, inspiring collections in high quality. Our entire design team is highly motivated to achieve just that and we feel that each person is an indispensable contribution to the team and AYTM collections.
